ERBIL, Sept.1 (AKnews)- On Wednesday a delegation from Iraqi Ministry of Trade will leave for Prague to sign a trade agreement with the Czech Republic, said Iraqi trade minister.
The agreement will be over price of the commodities, the customs tariff, and organizing and increasing the trade exchange with Czech, said Kheyrulla Hassan.
The delegation of officials and advisors will be led by the minister and during the five days of the official visit will meet with the related bodies.
Iraq can take benefit from the experience of Czech, one of the European countries with an “important” trade role worldwide, to boost its trade sector, the minister said.
ERBIL, September 1 (AKnews) – Kurdistan Regional Government has decided to extend its oil exports to September 15 to give more time for discussion with Baghdad, said the region’s minister of natural resources.
Ashti Hawrami said: “We are in ongoing discussion with the Iraqi government about paying the foreign companies’ money so the region can continue exporting oil and increase the volume of exports.
“The region previously selected today as the last day for exporting oil but because of Ramadan Eid holidays and to give more time to all parties, the region extended the oil export timeline to the middle of September. If the companies’ money is not paid by that time, we will make a decision about it.”

9-1-2012 Intel Guru Tony – I don’t believe the holdup is all about the banks. There were fraudulent things going on in the banking system. We know what was going on in Iran & Syria. I still think we are there. We know there were meetings in Parliament, votes taken, things were passed. Talabani is already back in Iraq, has been back, having meetings. He met with Barzani on Wednesday. Coins and lower denoms are in the markets and exchangers to be used after Sept. 1st. I think we are closer to it, than farther from it.
BAGHDAD: Iraq’s oil exports reached their highest level in more than three decades last month as the country’s output has continued to increase, oil ministry officials said on Saturday.
Overall exports averaged 2.565 million barrels per day (bpd), bringing in $8.442 billion in revenues on the back of average oil prices of $106 per barrel, Falah al-Amiri, head of the State Oil Marketing Organisation, said. Read more
BAGHDAD: Iraq’s Kurdistan will keep pumping its share of national oil exports until Sept. 15, extending a deadline for the central government to make disputed payments to companies working in the autonomous region, Kurdish sources said on Saturday.
Kurdistan had warned it would stop oil shipments again at the start of September over the payments, but two Kurdish sources said the region had decided to give Baghdad more time for payment paperwork to be sorted out.
“We decided to extend the deadline for pumping crude to Sept. 15 as a goodwill gesture, and to give Baghdad more time to resolve the payment issue,” one source with Kurdistan’s natural resources ministry told Reuters.
